Army Corp of Enginners uses Camp Toccoa at Currahee in Leadership Program.

The Army Corp of Engineers are working on a team building, team work, motivational film, program and/or seminar to  teach the importance of leadership.  They have selected Camp Toccoa at Currahee,  our WWII history and our museum to use as an example of what it takes to be successful.   What a great way to be reminded of the significance of this project and how timeless the Camp Toccoa Legacy of Leadership truly is.

The Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson Foundation donate $25,000 to Camp Toccoa at Currahee

Wrote Mr. Hanks, "I cannot imagine a more fitting site to recreate and honor as would a refurbished Currahee - a stop for all history students no matter the age."

General David Petraeus (Ret) joins Camp Toccoa at Currahee Board

General David PetraeusI am delighted to have been invited to support the effort to remember and honor the members of the four great airborne regiments that trained at Camp Toccoa during World War II.  As one of those who was privileged to serve with members of several of those regiments in subsequent decades -- and then to lead others during the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan -- I feel very fortunate to be able to lend a hand to the initiative to preserve the historic Camp Toccoa site and the area around it.
