CAMP TOCCOA at Currahee D-DAY WEEKEND
 May 31 - June 1, 2024

banquet

D-Day marks one of the most significant dates in the history of WWII with the invasion of Normandy. Many of the soldiers involved with that operation trained at Camp Toccoa.

D-Day weekend at Camp Toccoa at Currahee is a time where we salute those brave individuals and all who served our country. It is also a time for those interested in the Camp and it's mission to come together to support the effort by attending our Banquet and / or run up Currahee Mountain.

D-DAY Banquet
Friday, May 31, 2024
6 PM Festivities Begin / 7 PM Dinner

Guest Speaker:  Ben Wax, Jr.

Get ready for an evening of living history as we welcome Ben Wax, Jr. as our distinguished guest speaker for our banquet.

Mr. Wax, Jr. will be sharing stories and anecdotes about his father Captain Ben Wax, Sr. who commanded Alpha Company of the 501st Infantry Parachute Regiment  during WWII.

Join us for an inspiring journey through the heroic legacy of Captain Ben Wax, Sr. as his son honors his memory -- the sacrifices and, in particular, the life changing events while stationed at Camp Toccoa.

It's an evening not just of remembrance but a heartfelt tribute to the courage that shaped the course of history.
